Hijama is a traditional cupping method, and before it you should ask a few questions: what your current condition is, what medication you take, and why you want the treatment in the first place. At Fizio Spa, hijama is only done after a conversation and an assessment, never on the spur of the moment.
The treatment lasts 60 minutes and, according to the price list, costs 4,500 dinars, and it comes with 60 minutes of sauna free of charge. It is performed under controlled conditions, with single-use equipment. It is also important to know what hijama is not: it is not a cure, and we do not promise to heal any condition. Anyone who promises you that is not doing you a favour.
The conversation before the treatment is not a formality. We ask about chronic conditions, the medication you take, recent complaints and any previous experience with hijama. Based on this, we decide whether the treatment is sensible at that moment, or whether it should be postponed or adapted. Feel free to ask anything you want to know, from hygiene to how you will feel afterwards.
Fizio Spa is in the centre of Zrenjanin, Trg Slobode 3, hotel Vojvodina, level -1. The team is led by physiotherapists with many years of practice, so even a traditional method is carried out with a serious approach to assessment and hygiene.
You can book an appointment online via Fresha. If you have a health concern or a question before booking, it is better to contact us first via the contact page or at +381 63 466414, so we can clear things up before you reserve.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 17:00. For hijama, allow a full hour, plus time for the sauna if you want to use it on the same day.
When you are healthy or your condition is stable, you know why you want the treatment, and you are ready to go through a short conversation and assessment beforehand. Hijama is a traditional method and that is how we present it, with no promise that it cures illnesses.
When you have a blood clotting disorder, take blood-thinning medication, have anaemia, an acute infection, are pregnant, or have a condition for which your doctor has advised caution. In that case there is a conversation first, a consultation with a doctor if needed, and only then a decision about the treatment.
List any chronic conditions, the medication you take regularly, whether you have been ill recently, and whether you have had hijama before. Also tell us how you cope with having blood taken. All of this affects the decision on whether and how to carry out the treatment.
Online via our Fresha profile, or through the contact page and by phone at +381 63 466414. If you have any doubts about your health, mention them when booking, and before the appointment we will check whether the treatment is a good idea for you at that time.
