Shockwave is a device-based therapy using shock waves, most often used for long-standing problems with tendons and muscle attachments. It helps some clients and not others, and it’s only fair to say so up front. So there are no promises here — just a framework to help you decide whether it’s worth trying.
At Fizio Spa, shockwave isn’t a standalone service; according to the price list it’s part of a 3.300 RSD physical therapy treatment, alongside other procedures and exercises. Whether it’s an option for your problem at all is decided by the physiotherapist after an assessment.
Realistic expectations look like this: the treatment can be uncomfortable on the painful spot, the effect isn’t measured after the first session and several visits are usually needed. If there’s no progress after the agreed number of sessions, the plan changes rather than dragging on indefinitely.
Be wary of anyone who presents shockwave as a sure fix for every chronic pain. With a recent injury, significant swelling or an unclear diagnosis, an assessment comes first — and a medical examination if needed — and only then is there any talk of shock waves.
You choose the time yourself through online booking via Fresha. If you’re not sure whether shockwave is right for your problem at all, first write to us via the contact page and describe how long the problem has lasted.
We’re located at Trg Slobode 3 in Zrenjanin, in hotel Vojvodina, level -1. Our opening hours are weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays from 8:00 to 17:00. Phone: +381 63 466414.
Most often with long-standing tendon and attachment problems that don’t respond to rest and basic measures, and only after a physiotherapist’s assessment. It helps some clients and not others, so the effect is checked over an agreed number of sessions.
With a recent injury, significant swelling, an unclear diagnosis or conditions for which your doctor has advised caution. In that case an assessment comes first, and a medical examination if needed, while shock waves are considered later, if they’re needed at all.
Say how long the pain has lasted, what you’ve already tried and how the problem affects your training or work. Also ask how many sessions the therapist suggests and how you’ll both know whether the treatment is helping.
Online booking is via Fresha, and you can also reach us on +381 63 466414 and via the contact page. Shockwave is carried out as part of physical therapy, so describe your problem in your message and the team will suggest the right treatment.
Describe your problem and find a time that suits you. The confirmation arrives by email straight away, and the physiotherapist will tell you after an assessment whether shockwave is an option at all.
